Alpine Stylie in the Bugaboos!!

CURRENT LOCATION: Invamiere, BC, Canada
So far our trip in the bugs has been extraordinary!!!!!! We hiked in with packs weighing near 80 lbs! The hike up gains a grueling thousand plus ft of elevation on steep ground, at some points there are chains to hold onto and even a ladder. Of course it is a beautiful hike and offered breathtaking views of the granite peaks we came to get on top of. AFter setting up base camp, Dana and I picked a route for the next day, a super moderate classic called the ears between on the crescent towers. It was super fun. We swaped leads up fun cracks and chimneys making our way to a loose blocky summit. We got a great view of the range, the glaciers, and the lakes below. Next we straped on our crampons, grabbed our axs and sloged across the glacier and up the col to climb a route up the bugaboo spire. It was a scramble really, but we were siked to get on the glacier and practice traveling on snow. On the way down the col I punched through the surface up to my waist... I couldn't help but laugh and crawl out. Back at basecamp we cook semi tasty meals, stare at the peaks around us dreaming of climbing the splitter sunshine cracks, sleep, and play scrabble with our new friends in the mega mid tent specifically set up for hunkering and chilling during bad weather. Right now we are in town after making a trip to some local hotsprings. The weather turned grim so we all hiked out in the rain/hail to get warm. We'll hike back in today in hopes of that bluebird morning tomorrow. Till then here are some fun pics!!!
